GARDENING TIPS - Coleus Plants

There are about hundred types of coleus plants. They grow better in winter.

Sunlight - No direct sunlight, grows well in indirect sunlight.

Watering - Only when the soil is dry

Soil - Well drained soil. Mix a little mud in cocopeat, sand and compost.

Fertilizer- Too much fertilizer is not needed. Once in two months liquid fertilizer can be given.

Other tips

  • Pinching is a must, and if they get flowers the flowers need to be removed for the plant to grow.

Propagation - After pinching, use the the leaves for propagation. Just leave the top 2 leaved and dip it in honey and put it in cocopeat. Take cocopeat in a tray, sprinkle water and put the cutting. It grows in 10-15 days. Then it can be transferred to a bigger pot.
