GARDENING TIPS - Crotons

Sunlight - Needs adequate sunlight but not too much. Temperature 10-27 degree celsius.
Growing period - Feb to March in India. So pruning should be done in Feb.

Watering - Frequently but the soil should not be too damp.

Soil - 1/3 garden soil + 1/3 cocopeat + 1/3 vermi compost + 2 tsp bonemeal + 2 tsp neem ki khali + 1 tsp epsum salt + 3 tsp ash

Fertilizer- Too much fertilizer is not needed. Once in two months liquid fertilizer can be given.

Other tips

  • When plants are brought from nursery, keep them with a group of plants, otherwise due to environmental changes it goes into a shock and leaves start dropping.
  • Spray neem water once in 20 days.

Propagation - Can be done by the pruned parts. Keep 2-3 leaves on the top and put honey and place it in a tub of cocopeat. It takes one month to grow.
